The First CD - Never Grow Old (2002)
At 82 years of age, John Joe went into a recording studio in Ballygar to make his first solo album, titled "Never Grow Old. He recorded 16 tracks.

John Joe sang and played the button accordian on tracks (1, 6, 11 & 16).
He was accompanied on the piano/keyboard by Willie Dunne.
Hazel Murrey played the flute on tracks 1 & 6 and Patsy Hanly played the flute on tracks 11 &16.
Martin Murphy played the keyboard / accordian on tracks (7, 9, 10, 14, 16).
His
album was launched at the Glencastle Lounge, Glinsk and all the
proceeds went to a local Missionary Priest, Fr Kevin McGeeney from
Fuerty, where he worked with homeless street children in Johannesburg,
South Africa.
